In efforts to emphasize the importance of defining and adhering to warehouse safety measures, SPAN partnered with OSIS Group this past May to host consultants, contractors and clients across multiple disciplines in Qatar for yet another successful Warehouse Safety Seminar.

SPAN and OSIS Group covered all bases from a warehouse safety perspective; from the consideration of steel to the storage system design, storage/retrieval applications, loading docks, material handling equipment, facility & flooring, and most importantly inspection & maintenance. Furthermore, an additional talk was given by IBLS on the topic of productivity and safe operations. John Berlis, Business Development Manager at IBLS stated “It was a pleasure and an honor participating in the seminar for Safety in Warehouses along with the organizers. These events make a decisive contribution for more efficient and effective projects, and open new innovative routes on the market for the exclusive benefit of the end-users’’.

Nikos Marketis, Managing Director of OSIS Group, also offered a few words on safety to bring the event to a close: “We were proud to participate in this event alongside SPAN. The subject of safety concerns everybody within the industry and anything to raise the awareness of others can only be beneficial to everyone. Without a well-designed, well-constructed and fit-for-purpose floor, the safety and performance of the warehouse system may be compromised”
